Description Life zones and habitat: Montane to alpine. Wet areas and along ponds and streams.
Plant: Erect perennial with several leafy stems 8 to 28 inches tall, growing in large patches.
Leaves: Deep green stem leaves are heart-shaped with scalloped edges, 3/4 to 2-3/4 inches long.
Inflorescence: Clusters of fragrant white flowers each 3/4-inch long in a short raceme (spike) and with 4 bright white petals.
