Description Life zones and habitat: Montane to alpine. Meadows and slopes.
Plant: Erect perennial, somewhat leafy stem 2 to 3 feet tall supporting flower cluster (umbel).
Leaves: Compound leaves, larger lower, with finely cut leaflets.
Inflorescence: Large numbers of very small flowers, less than 1/4-inch across and with 5 white petals, clustered in numerous groups, with long, narrow sepals beneath each.
