Description Life zones and habitat: Foothills to subalpine (6500 to 10500 ft). Meadows, open slopes and forests.
Plant: Erect, sprawling or climbing perennial with stems 8 to 40 inches long.
Leaves: Pinnately-compound, 6 to 10 linear to elliptic or ovate leaflets 3/4 to 3 inches long with long tendrils at tips.
Inflorescence: Racemes arising from leaf axils of 2 to 10 pea-like flowers, white with pink-ish veins; corolla about 3/4-inch long or less.
Bloom Period: May to July.
