Description Life zones and habitat: Foothills to alpine; moist areas in meadows and along ridges.
Plant: Rounded shrub 3 to 4 feet tall.
Leaves: Pinnately-compound leaves with 3 to 7 grayish, hairy leaflets less than 1 inch long.
Inflorescence: Yellow saucer-shaped flowers up to 1-1/2 inch across in clusters with 5 bright yellow rounded petals and 5 hairy sepals.
