Last year we got to the area around Ouray too late to see much in bloom.  It was late in the season (early August) and with the drought conditions we should have know better. So this year we were there a month earlier and the difference was amazing. We hiked a ways up the Blue Lakes Trail one day. Other days we used the Jeep to reach Yankee Boy and Governor’s basins and Ophir Pass.
